Change to the programme
We have news for you that has just reached us. For reasons beyond our control, the Sunday concert by Gordan has been canceled (the singing workshop led by Svetlana Spajić will also not take place). We are truly sorry, because we were really looking forward to this meeting, and we know you were, too.
However, we don’t want Sunday evening to end any earlier than planned. That’s why we have a new proposal for you.
The concert by Biele and fie.dronowicz remains unchanged (August 23, 19:00), but that evening the stage will also welcome Chłopcy z Nowoszyszek. We hope this unexpected change will turn out to be a pleasant surprise. And thanks to it, we will be able to immerse ourselves even more fully in the wonderful music of Suwałki.
Chłopcy z Nowoszyszek is a band founded by enthusiasts of the traditional music of the Polish-Lithuanian-Belarusian borderland. They will play melodies to listen to, but above all to dance to – polkas, waltzes, obereks, krakowiaks, as well as more unusual dances from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, such as kochaneczka, wasadula and kozak.
So things will be a little different from what we had planned, but we believe it will be a great evening.
About the Re:tradition – Jagiellonian Fair festival
Re:tradition is an extraordinary festival of traditional music and craftsmanship. During three August days and nights, Lublin transforms into the capital of living traditional culture.
The festival program offers a wide range of attractions for both children and adults. It provides a unique opportunity to meet master artisans who, each year, showcase their exceptional handmade creations. Traditional music is also a key element of the Re:tradition festival, presented both in its authentic form and through the interpretations of contemporary artists.
The festival also features evening dance parties with live music, workshops, exhibitions, performances, film screenings, and meetings. Younger visitors can enjoy the Re:tradition Playground, where traditional games and pastimes are brought back to life.
The festival allows visitors to hear, see, touch, and experience folk culture, which during this time completely fills the streets of Lublin’s Old Town.
