Concert | Cztery Domy Słońca. Zima, wiosna, lato, jesień | Kaja and Janusz Prusinowski, Muzykancka Kompania Dziecięca and Friends (POL)
Early, early in the morning, the little sun went bathing, lit up the garden of paradise, and brought joy to the whole world!
Long ago, our ancestors did not know that the Earth is the third planet in the Solar System, or that the Sun is a massive star around which the planets revolve, just as countless other planets orbit other suns. They did, however, recognize its influence on life. It was the Sun that gave light and warmth, sustaining plants, animals, and people.
And in Poland, over the centuries, unique musical traditions and customs blossomed like the most beautiful flowers in a sunlit garden. Together with their Friends and Muzykancka Kompania Dziecięca, Kaja and Janusz Prusinowski would like to share these traditions with you.
The concert presented as part of the festival is the culmination of the group’s work on four albums filled to the brim with traditional music – music of winter, spring, summer, and autumn, all guided by the Sun.
Young and slightly older performers will present a rich selection of songs once sung throughout the changing seasons. The programme includes carols – both winter and spring ones – as well as old games, dances, songs accompanying work, rest, and celebrations, songs of the fields, forests, and weddings, alongside brand-new compositions.
In addition to singing, audiences will hear a wide variety of instruments: wind instruments, string instruments, percussion instruments, and even instruments with keyboards and bellows.
The performers invite everyone to join in the fun and hopes to inspire audiences of all ages to sing, dance, and discover the joy of playing musical instruments!
