Volodymyr Kusyk embarked on his pottery journey in 1991 as a student at the Lviv National Academy of Arts. Dedicated to reviving the ancient craft of Volyn, he mastered the technique of creating smoky black pottery through oxygen-deprived firing. Since 1995, he has shared his passion as an art teacher and was honoured in 2016 with the title of Distinguished Folk Artist. Currently, he leads the Volyn branch of the Association of Folk Artists of Ukraine.

In 2002, Larysa Kusyk joined Volodymyr, infusing the pottery with her artistic touch. Skilled in polishing, openwork decoration, and hand shaping, she transforms the items nto stunning pieces using various techniques.
