The Re:tradition Playground
The Re:tradition Playground is a space where adults can recapture the magic of their childhood and children can discover the joy of traditional games.
Each year, the playground becomes a wonderland of wooden toys crafted by renowned Lasovian folk artist, Jan Puk. Challenge yourself with puzzles featuring the iconic artwork of Lublin artist Stanisław Koguciuk. Unleash your inner musician with the Kashubian burczybas (friction drum with a cord) and the devil’s fiddle, handcrafted by Tadeusz Makowski.
Swing on colorful rocking horses, watch wooden chickens tumble down ramps, ride carousels from Stryszawa and Pewla Wielka known for their exceptional toy craftsmanship, or engage in classic games like tiddlywinks, bottle caps, and rubber band skipping. There’s even a mud kitchen!
Beyond the games, the playground will host musical workshops for young children, led by Kapela Fedaków and Piotr Dorosz.
The Re:tradition Playground is more than just a place to play; it’s a space where families can bond, learn, and celebrate traditional culture together.
