Pająk chandelier-like installation | Krakowska Gate
Pająk was an elaborate geometric ornament resembling a chandelier that used to be hung inside homes for special ocassions. For the past few years, installations resembling pająk have been hung in Lublin to herald the approach of one of the largest celebrations of traditional culture: the festival Re:tradition. The installation, a 3 metre high cascading amaranth composition adorning Krakowska Gate was inspired by traditional ornaments (jewellery and wreaths) the main theme of this year’s festival.
