Family Music Workshop with Marta and Krzysztof Butryn | A hare sat beyond the hill | REGISTRATION OPENS ON 12 AUGUST 2024

Our workshop kicks off with a chance to explore the fascinating world of traditional instruments! Get up close with fiddles, drums, barabans, oktawka fiddle  and even the unique Biłgoraj suka. Learn how these instruments combined to form the heart of a village band in days gone by.

Live music sets the scene as you delve into the rich tapestry of folk traditions. Participants of all ages will have the opportunity to learn old games, pastimes, sing folk songs, and master traditional dances.

The fun doesn’t stop there! Aside from Polish traditions, we’ll also explore the world of folk rhymes and riddles from near and far, including Lemko,  Slovak, and even Serbian cultures, expanding your  horizons and sparking your curiosity.

Led by the experienced Marta and Krzysztof Butryn, this workshop promises an enriching and enjoyable experience for everyone.
