Svitlana Piskova is a master of straw weaving, a craft she has perfected since 1986. Her journey began under the tutelage of local folk artist Yefrosynia Kravcova, from whom she acquired the foundational skills and traditional techniques of the trade. To ensure the highest quality for her work, Svitlana manages the entire process herself, from cultivating her own rye to harvesting and preparing the straw.

Using a variety of intricate weaving styles, Svitlana creates a wide array of traditional items, including straw hats, figurines of horses and birds, baskets, and folk dolls. Her work is a testament to the preservation of Ukrainian rural heritage. She is a proud member of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine.
