Stefania is a master of Opole-style kroszonka Easter eggs, a type of pysanka whose patterns are hand-engraved on a monochromatic shell. She learned this skill from her mother over  70 years ago in Opole-Grudzice. Her mother (b.1910) had picked up the skill from Stefania’s grandfather (b.1867). She’s been a member of the Folk Artists Association since 1973.
