Orysia has been engaged in traditional wickerwork since 1999. Under the mentorship of fellow artisan Ruslana Vronska, she mastered the art of transforming wicker into functional and beautiful objects. Orysia’s repertoire includes versatile baskets, wrapped bottles, children’s toys, and jewellery. As a lecturer at the Volyn College of Culture and Arts in Lutsk, she imparts her knowledge to the next generation of weavers. A member of the Association of Folk Artists of Ukraine, Orysia’s contributions to preserving Volyn’s cultural heritage were recognized with the prestigious Volyn Art Prize in 2021.

Orysia is a respected member of the Association of Folk Artists of Ukraine. Her exceptional talent and dedication were recognised in 2021 with the prestigious Volyn Art Prize, named after Yova Kondzelevych. This award honoured her significant contributions to preserving Volyn’s intangible cultural heritage through her innovative and impactful work in decorative applied arts.
