Małgorzata and Krzysztof Boksa, a husband-and-wife artistic duo, have been dedicated to folk art for over four decades. Krzysztof, following in his father’s footsteps, has mastered the intricacies of ceramic craftsmanship. He has enriched his skills with knowledge gained from literature and interactions with folk artists and ethnographers.
Małgorzata’s father, Nikodem, was a skilled tailor who, together with his daughter, crafted intricate doll clothes and accessories. This early exposure to the arts sparked a lifelong passion for creativity. Today, the Boksas use chamotte clay and the coiling technique to create sculptures inspired by traditional folk art, often combining ceramics with wood. Their works, featuring angels, horses, birds, chapels, and religious reliefs, showcase their exquisite craftsmanship and deep connection to their cultural heritage. The Boksas’ dedication to their art has been recognised with numerous awards at competitions throughout Poland. Their gallery and creative space, “Przystanek Raj,” serves as a testament to their passion and a source of inspiration for others.
