Joanna Barecka is an artist specialising in the creation of pająki—traditional Polish decorative chandeliers made from straw and crepe paper. She continues a rich family legacy as the daughter of the accomplished folk creator Iwona Barecka.
The significance of her work is recognized at a national level; in 2024, the skill of crafting these straw and paper decorations in the Lublin region was officially inscribed on the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
