In 1992, Joanna and Andrzej settled down in Beskid Niski in regions surrounded by meadows that smell of herbs and grasses. The culture of Podlasie inspired them to take up straw plaiting. They’ve been engaged in the craft since 1997. They make straw baskets, ornaments, bowls, jugs, angels, horses, goats. They have taken part in many exhibitions and contests.
