Hailing from Tyszowce, a town renowned for its historic boot making tradition, Jan Dudziński carries on a family legacy. His ancestors were skilled shoemakers, crafting the iconic “Tyszowiak” boots. Today, while tending his fields and beehives, Dudziński has ingeniously combined these crafts to create unique wax candles shaped like these legendary footwear. Tyszowce boasts another extraordinary tradition: the casting of colossal candles, a custom rumored to originate from the Swedish Deluge. These monumental candles, stored in the local St. Leonard’s Church, are a centerpiece of annual processions.
