Irina Halushchak has a talent for making jewellery.

The first type of craft she took up was embroidery. When she was a child, she began practicing with her mother, Svitlana Halushchak, and grandmother, Irina Stukan. Then she started her adventure in the Ternopil Art School, and after that she came to the Children and Youth Art Centre and started her education under the watchful eye of Tetiana Tymoshko. Thanks to that, she had a chance to try her hand at various forms of craft.

Her real passion, however, flourished after she had read “Traditional Beaded Jewellery from Ukraine” by Olena Fedorczuk. It was all the ignition Irina needed to begin her journey in the vast and wondrous world of embellishments. That was the exact moment when her life took on an artistic turn.

Irina Halushchak is a part of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and is also involved with many local initiatives in Ternopil. She has also received a scholarship for young folk artists from the president of Ukraine.
