Halina Kukuczka has been crocheting since she was a little girl – she makes crochet lace (a term popular in her region is heklowanie).
Throughout her childhood, her mother and grandmother encouraged her to learn the craft and passed on their knowledge to her. She uses cotton threads of various sizes to achieve the desired effect in her artwork. The most valuable inspiration comes from nature. She has passed on her skills to her daughter, Dorota Cieślar. At Halina’s stall, you will find both tablecloths and old-fashioned coifs, collars, gloves, jewellery or dresses made with the Koniaków lace technique. Halina is a member of the Folk Artists’ Association.
