Edyta graduated from a fine arts high school and an art university, and her artistic journey is a testament to the enduring power of tradition. As she herself explains, “I’ve been involved in creative work my whole life. As a child, in the 1970s, I attended the first regional preschool in Poland, located in Opoczno. I’m living proof of the effectiveness of such education, as I returned to traditional culture many years later, and it has become my main source of inspiration. My grandmother and aunt were folk artists. I also attended the Fine Arts High School in Kielce and completed studies in art education. For many years, I dedicated myself to teaching creativity to students.

Building on this early foundation, Edyta has become a leading figure in preserving and reimagining the folk art of the Opoczno region. At her open-air museum, “Niebowo,” she brings this heritage to life through a diverse range of creations, from vibrant acrylic paintings to delicate ceramic sculptures. Her work extends to whimsical toys, innovative jewellery crafted from repurposed wool, and the festive artistry of crepe paper wreaths and garlands.

Edyta’s talent and dedication have earned widespread recognition, culminating in a Grand Prix win at the Łódź Culture Centre’s “New Makatka Weaving” competition in 2017.
