About
The talharpa, a stringed instrument cherished in Northern Europe since the early Middle Ages, held popularity on Estonia’s western islands until the 20th century. Marko and Ramo, talented members of the Puuluup band, will guide us through the rich history of the talharpa, its unique playing techniques, and present a delightful selection of traditional tunes performed on this remarkable instrument. They will also explore modern approaches to harnessing the captivating sounds of the talharpa. Furthermore, the band will bring along additional instruments, inviting participants to join in the joyful experience of making music together.
