Play | Song of the River | Polish Sign Language
Supraśl’s Teatr Łątek, the smallest theatre in Poland with an intimate 10-seat capacity, brings its captivating performances beyond its home stage. This year, at the Re:tadition Festival, you have the chance to see two of their productions, including the enchanting play “Song of the River.”
Inspired by Polish folk ballads, the artists have created “teatrodiscs” – song performances realised using a unique blend of shadow and light theatre techniques. These performances weave together into a theatrical ballad of love and death. The selection of songs was crucial, with each piece sharing the common theme of the river, water, or liquid. Love is depicted as a current that sweeps us away, whether we wish it or not, carrying us to unknown destinations.
