Workshop | From Poland to Norway – Polish heritage in Norwegian dances | Ådne Kolbjørnshus – Kartellet (NOR) | REGISTRATION opens on 11 August
About
Not everyone knows that one of the most popular traditional dances in Northern Europe is called the polska. It comes in many regional variations and is danced to a wide range of melodies.
In this workshop, members of the Kartellet dance company will help us uncover traces of Polish heritage hidden in traditional Norwegian dance.
The session will be led by Ådne Kolbjørnshus, a dancer and choreographer from the Norwegian company Kartellet.
Ådne, based in Oslo, is an award-winning performer who has toured across Europe with both Kartellet and Frikar Dance Company.
Please wear comfortable shoes suitable for dancing.
