Dance holds a prominent place in the traditional culture of every community, offering an accessible and joyful expression for all. It serves as a balm for the soul and body, a release valve for those weary from winter’s gloom or summer’s toil in the fields. While some may possess a natural talent for playing the fiddle or accordion, dancing requires only a basic sense of rhythm to twirl in polkas and obereks or step with grace in krakowiaks and polonaises.

Join us for a captivating dance workshop led by Gustaw Juzala-Deprati, where we’ll embark on a journey through the distinctive dances of the Suwałki, Grodno, and Vilnius regions.

As we immerse ourselves in these traditional steps, the lively tunes of the Chłopcy z Nowoszyszek band will fill the air, providing an enchanting backdrop for our dance exploration.
