Mateusz Borny – landscape architect, photographer, filmmaker, musician. His interest in traditional culture focuses on the Western Roztocze region. For over a decade, he has been documenting manifestations of rural wedding and ritual music in local villages.
At the same time, since 2010, he has been interested in and involved in the music of this region.
He is the author of two films initiated by the Traditional Culture Studio of the Workshops of Culture in Lublin:

He has taken photographs or made films for the following cultural institutions: the Workshops of Culture in Lublin, the Association of Folk Artists, the “Stara Droga” Foundation, the Society for Nature and Man, the “Muzyka Kresów” Foundation, the Centre for Culture in Lublin, the National Institute of Music and Dance, the Teren Otwarty Foundation, the Museum of Folk Instruments in Szydłowiec, the “Numinosum” Foundation for Landscape Protection and Promotion of Regions, the Traditional Music Forum, the Municipal Culture Centre in Kurów, the Municipal Public Library and Culture Centre in Kocudza, the Pole Dialogu Foundation, the Lublin Research Group, and the “Bronowice” District Culture Centre in Lublin.
