GMM’s music music echoes traditional Polish wedding tunes, drawing inspiration from the historical collections of ethnographer Oskar Kolberg. But this isn’t your average folk music—it’s a modern reimagining with an electrifying sound.

The trio, consisting of Michał GórczyńskiMichał Marecki, and Patryk “TikTak” Matela, delves into the roots of the Mazovian tradition. They translate these classic melodies into the language of contemporary music, with Kolberg’s writings providing the foundation for their creative exploration.

Michał Górczyński is a composer, solo musician, and chamber music performer who specializes in the contrabass clarinet. He graduated from the clarinet class at The Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in 2004. Górczyński is a co-founder of Kwartludium, a group that focuses on contemporary music, and is also a member of the band Bastarda, among many other projects. He has also composed music for theater performances.

He has collaborated with a diverse range of bands, including Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa  (Warsaw Village Band) & Bassałyki, Mamadou & Sama Yoon, T.Love, and Sidney Polak. Holding a master’s degree in social sciences, he is interested in the intersection of creativity and artistic expression.

Patryk “TikTak” Matela is a beatboxer and a leading promoter of the art form in Poland. With over 20 years of experience, he has performed and taught beatboxing at workshops for a wide range of audiences, from students and preschoolers to young people in orphanages.
