Chłopcy z Nowoszyszek is a folk music ensemble founded by passionate enthusiasts of traditional music from the borderlands of Poland, Lithuania, and Belarus. Their repertoire encompasses a diverse range of dance melodies, including polkas, waltzes, obereks, foxtrots, and krakowiaks, which are popular throughout Poland. Additionally, they perform more exotic dances that are emblematic of the multicultural tapestry of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, such as the kochaneczka, wasadula, and kozak. The ensemble’s melodies are primarily drawn from the works of the late Suwałki fiddlers Franciszek Racis and Mieczysław Pachutko. Chłopcy z Nowoszyszek are frequent guests at dance and workshop events across Poland and have also performed in Sweden, Lithuania, and Belarus
