Noise-reducing headphones

Would you love to attend the concerts but are worried they might be too loud for your children or for you? If needed, noise-reducing headphones for both children and adults will be available to borrow by the main stage at Dominikański Square (refundable deposit of 100 zł – cash only).

Information for parents

The Re:tradition – Jagiellonian Fair festival is an event for everyone, and most attractions have no age restrictions. We warmly invite children to the garden of Dom na Podwalu to the Re:tradition Playground. It is a place full of fun traditional games and activities. In this area, you can get a special wristband for your child. You can write the parents’ phone number on it in case the little one gets lost. This will make it possible to contact you as quickly as possible!

Information for people with disabilities

We have made sure that the programme on our website is as clear and easy to navigate as possible. You will find a detailed schedule with filters that make it easier to search for attractions not only by location and time, but also for events with audio description and Polish Sign Language (PJM).

We know that the programme is extensive and can feel overwhelming, so we have also prepared it in a different format. You can download the simplified programme PDF and print it out as a handy guide.

Our special Accessibility Volunteers group has also prepared the Pre-guide | Information on accessibility at the Re:tradition – Jagiellonian Fair festival 2026 [PDF].

During the festival, people who use Polish Sign Language will be able to join interpreter-guides for a walk around the Jagiellonian Fair. Together with Jolanta Gromada or Łukasz Grzesiuk, they will be able to visit craftspeople, ask about their work, products and traditions and, of course, take the opportunity to purchase unique folk art products.

How can you make use of this offer? Simply come to the Festival information point at Łokietka Square. There you will meet our interpreters and, accompanied by them, set off for a walk around the Jagiellonian Fair.

Duty hours:
August 21 (Friday), 16:00-18:00
August 22 (Saturday), 14:00-18:00
August 23 (Sunday), 11:00-14:00

Duty location: Festival information point, Łokietka Square

Events requiring registration

Everyone who has registered for a workshop and received confirmation of participation is asked by the organisers to arrive a few minutes early. This is very important, as if you do not arrive on time, your place may be given to someone on the waiting list. Before entering, simply give your name to the person checking the list of participants.

Programme changes and reminders

It is worth following the Festival profiles on Facebook and Instagram, where we will keep you up to date with any changes to the programme and the most interesting events. If you post any photos or stories from the event, remember to tag us! @retradycja_jarmarkjagiellonski

Traffic restrictions

Please note that Królewska Street, which directly borders the Old Town, remains closed to traffic during all summer weekends, including during the Re:tradition – Jagiellonian Fair festival. This traffic arrangement is in effect from Friday at 18:00 until the end of Sunday. During the Festival, Zamkowy Square will be partially closed to parking.

How to recognise Festival exhibitors?

Want to make sure you find the stalls of the artisans we have invited to take part in the event? Each stall will be marked with a special Festival sign featuring the Festival logo, a number, the exhibitor’s name and the name of the craft or field they represent. A QR code will also appear next to it. When scanned with a mobile phone, it will take you to the individual artisan’s profile. There you can read about their story and learn more about the traditions they continue. For those artisans who have given their consent, you will also find contact details – their website address, email or phone number.

About the Re:tradition – Jagiellonian Fair festival

Re:tradition is an extraordinary festival of traditional music and craftsmanship. During three August days and nights, Lublin transforms into the capital of living traditional culture.

The festival program offers a wide range of attractions for both children and adults. It provides a unique opportunity to meet master artisans who, each year, showcase their exceptional handmade creations. Traditional music is also a key element of the Re:tradition festival, presented both in its authentic form and through the interpretations of contemporary artists.

The festival also features evening dance parties with live music, workshops, exhibitions, performances, film screenings, and meetings. Younger visitors can enjoy the Re:tradition Playground, where traditional games and pastimes are brought back to life.

The festival allows visitors to hear, see, touch, and experience folk culture, which during this time completely fills the streets of Lublin’s Old Town.
