Jagiellonian Fair – folk art and traditional crafts market (Polish Sign Language interpreters available)

The Jagiellonian Fair is one of the important parts of the Re:tradition festival. The 3-day folk art and traditional craft fair will allow us to discover the heritage of many regions of Poland, as well as Lithuania, Ukraine, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Romania. As every year, there will be traditional weaving, decorated eggs, paper flowers, straw mobiles and other straw decorations, toys, basketry, ceramics, and sculpture.

The festival will be an opportunity both to see and purchase unique works of folk art and to discover the precision and skill with which the invited craftspeople work. Many of them will present demonstrations of creating their works, and some will also become teachers during the festival, allowing us to try our hand at a particular craft under their watchful guidance.

Walk around the Fair with Polish Sign Language interpreters

During the festival, people who use Polish Sign Language will be able to join interpreter-guides for a walk around the Jagiellonian Fair. Polish Sign Language interpreter duty hours have been scheduled, and interpreters will be available at the festival information point at Łokietka Square.

Interpreter duty hours:
August 21 (Friday), 16:00-18:00
August 22 (Saturday), 14:00-18:00
August 23 (Sunday), 11:00-14:00

People using Polish Sign Language will be able to visit selected craftspeople together with an interpreter, ask about their work, products, and traditions, and of course take the opportunity to purchase unique folk art items.
