Violinist, student of rural master Kazimierz Meta. As part of his musical exploration, he focuses on direct master–student transmission and delves into the secrets of archaic musical forms of Mazovia. A musician who plays for dancing in the in crudo style, as well as leader and co-creator of many artistic projects inspired by traditional music. Recipient of scholarships from the Minister of Culture for the projects “Mazurek Vulgaris”, “MetaMuzyka” and “Arche Vivum”. Creator of the project Maciej Filipczuk & goście weselni, which focuses on the here and now encounter and on the intensity of music measured by the amount of sweat drawn from the dancers.
