About

Re:tradycja – Jarmark Jagielloński is, in turn, the largest folk art and traditional culture festival in Poland. During three August days and nights, Lublin transforms into the capital of living traditional culture. The festival program also includes many attractions for children.

For people involved in volunteering, the Workshops of Culture offer comprehensive preparation, ongoing support, and — most importantly — the opportunity to be part of amazing events such as concerts, meetings, workshops, and exhibitions.

What tasks might you receive?

– Helping at information points

– Assisting at stage operations, performances, and dressing rooms

– Technical support (previous experience with equipment such as sound systems, microphones, or stage lighting is welcome)

– Supporting animators during activities for children

– Taking care of artists and performers

Why is it worth joining?

– You will practice customer service skills while interacting with festival audiences;

– You will develop soft skills;

– You will have the chance to use foreign languages in real situations;

– You will meet artists and performers while assisting them during the events;

– You will see the technical side of festival organization;

– You will learn how to work effectively in a team;

– You will sign a volunteer agreement and receive a certificate;

– You will meet new people;

– You will experience unforgettable moments;

– You will get behind-the-scenes insight into cultural events and perhaps gain experience that will help you organize your own projects in the future;

– You will feel the satisfaction of contributing to culture in your city;

– Participation in the volunteer program may count toward university internship requirements — let us know about this in the application form.

People interested in volunteering are asked to complete the recruitment forms available on the website of the Workshops of Culture.
