Viktoria Andrash is a master of traditional beadwork, specialising in the complex jewelry techniques native to the western regions of Ukraine. Her journey into folk art is rooted in deep research; she has spent years studying ethnographic literature to authentically recreate the historic jewelry and traditional headwear of her heritage.
In addition to her beadwork, Viktoria is a skilled creator of Motanka dolls—traditional Ukrainian protective talismans—as well as Ziarnuszka (grain dolls) and Żadanice (wish-granting dolls). Since 2017, she has been a member of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine. Her craftsmanship was formally recognized in 2018 when she received the award for the “Best Work” during the Union’s prestigious annual exhibition. She frequently collaborates with her sister, Nadia Kharchenko, to bring these ancient traditions to life.
