Kapela Dobrzeliniacy is a renowned Polish folk music ensemble known for their captivating performances of obereks, kujony, kujawiaki, polkas, and marches. Their repertoire seamlessly blends the lively melodies of Łowicz with the more drawn-out and lyrical kujawiaks from the Sanniki and Płock regions. They also honour the legacy of Adam Radzymiński, a legendary accordionist from Dobrzelin, by incorporating his compositions into their performances.
With a storied history spanning decades, the Dobrzeliniacy have consistently excelled on the festival circuit, winning top honours at events in Bedlno, Łódź, Przytoczna, Płock, Sieradz, Stoczek Łukowski, and Żychlin, including twice at the prestigious Festival of Folk Bands and Singers in 2003 and 2015. In 2005, they were bestowed with the prestigious Oskar Kolberg Award for their exceptional contributions to Polish folk culture. Their dedication to preserving and revitalising traditional music was further recognised with the release of their 2022 album “Kapela Dobrzeliniacy | do tańca,” produced in collaboration with the Muzyka Zakorzeniona Foundation.
Established in 1978 under the auspices of the local cultural centre, the band continues to thrive today with the support of a cultural centre that serves both the town and the surrounding area.
