Hailing from Katowice, Kapela Fedaków is a family band that has made it their mission to preserve and revitalise Polish folk music. Their repertoire spans traditional melodies from Silesia and other regions of Poland, as well as original compositions inspired by the rich musical heritage. The band’s commitment to sharing the joy of traditional music extends beyond their performances. They actively organise workshops, dance parties, and other creative events that engage local communities and workshop participants. Their outreach extends beyond their regional base, taking them to cities like Cracow, Warsaw, Prague, and Ostrava.

Kapela Fedaków’s performances are more than just musical experiences; they are immersive journeys into the heart of Polish tradition. The band members, the Fedak family, infuse their music with warmth, humor, and a deep respect for their heritage. They skillfully weave together melodies from old instruments, once common in Polish and Silesian villages, creating a welcoming atmosphere that invites listeners to connect with the music on a personal level. The band’s dedication to preserving tradition is evident in their meticulous curation of regional musical gems. They don’t merely replicate these melodies; they enrich them with their own creative arrangements, striking a delicate balance between honoring the past and offering a fresh artistic perspective.
