As she puts it:<\/p>\n\n
Her immersion into folk art began through her husband, Tomasz Krajewski, a long-time practitioner in the field. What started as assisting with the technical components\u2014cutting straw and crafting delicate paper flowers\u2014soon evolved into a deep, independent mastery of the craft.<\/p> \n \n
\n“Initially, I focused on the research, gathering information from archival documents,”<\/i> Ma\u0142gorzata explains. “Later, I began seeking out master straw-workers and the leading figures of 20th-century ceremonial art to refine my techniques. Over the last six years, my husband and I have led countless workshops for children, adults, and seniors, sharing the art of paj\u0105ki and traditional Christmas ornaments.”<\/i><\/p> \n<\/blockquote> \n
Ma\u0142gorzata\u2019s commitment to authenticity begins in the field. She grows her own rye, harvesting it by hand with a scythe to ensure the straw remains in perfect condition for weaving.<\/p><\/p>\n\n
In addition to her signature chandeliers, she creates straw-woven bowls and Christmas decorations, painstakingly recreating patterns based on museum collections and historical documentation of 19th and 20th-century folk artists. \n \n<\/p>\n\n
A member of the Association of Folk Artists since 2019, Ma\u0142gorzata\u2019s passion led her to spearhead the application to recognize this craft on a national level. Her efforts were successful.<\/p>\n\n
In 2024, the skill of crafting straw and paper paj\u0105ki in the Lublin region was officially inscribed on the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
