\n“I have been tied to this craft since I was fourteen,”<\/i> Filip recalls. “It was then that my father and I stitched our first pair of kierpce and leather bags. Those early days remain a vivid memory, and to this day, we continue to work side-by-side, honoring a tradition that began with my great-grandfather.”<\/i><\/p>

Filip sources his materials from local tanneries, personally overseeing every stage of production\u2014from the raw leather to the final hand-stitching and decorative punching. His portfolio includes traditional kierpce (highland moccasins), bags, intricate belts, and bracelets. His designs are a geographic tapestry of Poland’s ethnographic regions, incorporating motifs from Podhale, the Pieniny and Gorce mountains, \u017bywiec, and the Kurpie region.

To ensure historical accuracy, Filip balances inherited family knowledge with rigorous research, studying archival photographs and collaborating with ethnographers. This commitment to authenticity was recognized at the “Saba\u0142owe Bajania” Festival of Polish Folklore, where his work received a distinction for the most faithful recreation of traditional highlander attire.
