Some of these languages are facing decline, and are even on the brink of disappearing. Others are experiencing a&nbsp; tentativerevival Yet, they hold immense historical and cultural significance. French group Barrut brings this very aspect of culture to life for the Lublin audience, captivating them with their songs in the Occitan language&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The French group Barrut offers a captivating blend of old and new. Their music is&nbsp; described as a harmonious meeting of sound and poetry, where traditional elements intertwine with modern arrangements and original melodies composed by the group themselves.<\/p>\n<p>This fusion becomes even more intriguing when you consider the language they sing in: Occitan. Once a widely spoken language, it was the chosen medium for much of medieval poetry. However, historical and political turmoil left its mark, and today Occitan survives primarily in southern French towns and villages.<br \/>\nBut&nbsp; a movement for its revival&nbsp; is gaining momentum, and music is its powerful driving force.
