{"id":57143,"date":"2025-08-07T13:45:07","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T11:45:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/retradycja.eu\/events\/re-tradition-playground\/"},"modified":"2025-08-22T12:12:32","modified_gmt":"2025-08-22T10:12:32","slug":"re-tradition-playground","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/retradycja.eu\/en\/events\/re-tradition-playground\/","title":{"rendered":"Re:tradition Playground"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 data-start=\"134\" data-end=\"307\">About<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"134\" data-end=\"307\">The <strong data-start=\"138\" data-end=\"165\">Re:tradition Playground<\/strong> is a space where adults can revisit the joys of their childhood, and children can discover the rich world of traditional games and folk toys.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"309\" data-end=\"855\">As in previous years, the Festival will offer the chance to set wooden toys in motion \u2014 handcrafted by folk artist <strong data-start=\"424\" data-end=\"435\">Jan Puk,<\/strong>a folk artist representing the traditions of the Lasowiacy (Lasovians), an ethnographic group from southeastern Poland, \u00a0or to assemble block puzzles featuring the work of renowned Lublin painter <strong data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"561\">Stanis\u0142aw Koguciuk<\/strong>. You can also try playing the <strong data-start=\"592\" data-end=\"615\">Kashubian burczybas ( a friction drum with a cord) <\/strong>or the <strong data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"637\">devil\u2019s fiddle<\/strong>, instruments created by <strong data-start=\"662\" data-end=\"682\">Tadeusz Makowski<\/strong>. And don\u2019t miss the colourful wooden horses, sliding hens, and traditional carousels from <strong data-start=\"773\" data-end=\"786\">Stryszawa<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"791\" data-end=\"807\">Pewel Wielka<\/strong>, villages famous for their toy-making heritage.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"737\" data-end=\"905\">The space will be filled with playful stations: <strong data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"807\">tiddlywinks tables<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"809\" data-end=\"834\">bottle-cap racetracks<\/strong>, and beloved games like <strong data-start=\"859\" data-end=\"883\">rubber band skipping<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"904\">mud kitchens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1334\">Beyond the games and toys filling the green space beneath Lublin Castle, the playground will also host <strong data-start=\"1138\" data-end=\"1172\">musical workshops for children<\/strong>. Traditional music, games, and dances will be brought to life by the <strong>\u017bemerwa \u2013 Traditional Folklore Studio of Podlasie Belarusians <\/strong>and the Krak\u00f3w-based group <strong data-start=\"1316\" data-end=\"1333\">Fiksum Dyrdum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1336\" data-end=\"1572\">The <strong data-start=\"1340\" data-end=\"1367\">Re:tradition Playground<\/strong> is designed for families \u2014 a place to learn, play, and connect. Through hands-on experiences, it strengthens bonds across generations while introducing the youngest visitors to the beauty of folk culture.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1336\"
