Re:tradition’s Playground is a space that allows adults to relive their childhood memories while children discover the wonderful world of traditional games and leisure activities. This year, the focus will be on wood, including sticks. With a little enthusiasm and imagination, simple twigs can be transformed into amazing toys, offering endless possibilities for those who play with them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kaja, Janusz, and Gabriel Prusinowski, along with Piotr Piszczatowski, will showcase old dances and games using sticks. Le\u015bna Baza NaTurka will also be there to share their knowledge of nature, including building simple huts and crafting bows.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Artisans from the Bi\u0142goraj region will demonstrate how to create wooden rings used in traditional games. Jan Puk, a folk artist from the forested lands, will provide wooden toys for play. Puzzle blocks with images by Lublin painter Stanis\u0142aw Koguciu will be available to assemble, and you can try playing the Kashubian burczybas and the devil’s fiddle made by Tadeusz Makowski.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There will also be colorful rocking horses, seesaws, and carousels from Stryszawa and Pewel Wielka, known for their exceptional toy craftsmanship.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, you can look forward to special tables for playing tiddlywinks, tracks for bottle cap games, and opportunities to play hopscotch or engage in mud kitchen activities. Re:tradition’s Playground is a family-friendly place where families can spend time together, strengthening their bonds and introducing the younger generations to the essence of folk culture through play and educational activities.<\/span><\/p>\n
