Electronica, voices, kantele, violin, lyres, and other instruments blend to create an idiosyncratic soundscape. The themes of the songs revolve around the conscious and the subconscious, the secular and the sacred, life and death.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The trio consists of three multi-instrumentalists: Eir Vatn Str\u00f8m, Levina Stor\u00e5kern, and Kenneth Lien. Their variations on instrumentation opens up a unique sound when timeless harmonies and layers of minimalistic motifs combine to create an open and atmospheric world. In the same way they explore instruments, they also challenge the listeners\u2019 expectations in terms of arrangement and form.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c6vestaden is inspired by the modern Norwegian folk music scene where tonality, experimentation, and innovation are key.
