Their vigor, openness and diverse musical inspirations have enabled them to instinctively create an original, colorful blend of their own sound with flavours that transport the listeners to the Near East and beyond.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The core members of the band met in 2010 in Istanbul. Michal Elia Kamal &#8211; an Israeli with Iranian roots &#8211; writes lyrics, while arrangement and composition are the tasks of the trio that includes Metehan \u00c7if\u00e7i (santour; Turkey) and Julien Demarque (guitar; France).\u00a0<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Fanfara Station<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a trio that combines the power of a brass band and electronica with North African vocals and percussions.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marzouk Mejri &#8211; voice, percussion, Tunisian winds, clarinet, loops<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Charles Ferris &#8211; trumpet, trombone,\u00a0 tuba, loops\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ghiaccioli e Branzini &#8211; electronics and programming<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fanfara Station\u00a0 brings listeners into a trance with brass instruments combined with an entire North African rhythm section and pulsating electro dance beats setting the pace.\u00a0 All this is created by just three musicians thanks to their skillful use of loop stations and live overdubbing of an arsenal of instruments. The singer, composer, woodwind player and noted percussionist, Marzouk Mejri introduced to the group inspiration derived from the memories of his father&#8217;s brass band in Tunisia. The Canadian born trumpeter and trombonist Charles Ferris layers up the loops and drops glittering improvisational flourishes, while the master programmer Ghiaccioli e Branzini directs the dance floor dynamics.
