Get ready to move your feet! Join us on the dance floor at Lublin Plaza for a special performance by the Yan Gisawa band. They’ll be putting a fresh spin on traditional melodies using an unconventional mix of instruments.
You’ll be able to dance to lively polkas and obereks from the Lublin region. Never tried folk dancing before? No problem! A short introductory workshop will teach you the basics. We’ll kick things off with group dances to get everyone warmed up before the evening dance parties on the green space below Lublin Castle.
Helping us with the steps—from fast turns to the graceful walking dance, the chodzony—will be:
- Agnieszka Zachariewicz, who believes in the joy of friendly encounters and dance-floor etiquette.
- Patryk Dziubek, who approaches folklore with a practical, grounded style, spinning in rhythm with the Earth itself.
